In the context of digitalisation of rural areas, the intersection of scientific innovation and policy development is crucial. Join this CODECS Science-Policy interface meeting, exploring how science and policy intersect in the digitalisation of agriculture and rural areas.

By fostering discussions among experts, policymakers, and stakeholders, this session aims to deepen our understanding of how digitalisation can enhance rural economies, agriculture, education, and overall community well-being. Through this collaborative dialogue, we seek to inform evidence-based policies that harness the benefits of digital innovations for sustainable and inclusive rural development.
KEY SPEAKERS AND AGENDA
The first half of the session will include interventions from researchers in the field of agriculture and rural development, as well as policy actors from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture (DG-AGRI) and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), to discuss the digital transformation of rural areas.
Moreover, this event will also explore the role of Multi-Actor Approach (MAA) in European projects and the role of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) in digital ecosystems, by exploring practical insights from EU projects, namely SMART ERA and PATH2DEA.
This webinar will be interactive, fostering discussions and peer-to-peer learning between speakers and participants. It is a unique opportunity to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the public conversation able to shape most relevant policies that impact the lives of people in rural areas.
This webinar is organised within the framework of the CODECS Knowledge Accelerator, a network designed to enhance knowledge creation through various engaging activities.
