We are excited to announce the HydroMetEC Seminar 2025, a full-day online event scheduled for January 16, 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00 CET. This seminar is an excellent opportunity for professionals, researchers, and academics in the field of hydrometallurgy to share their insights, engage in discussions, and present their latest research findings.
Over the course of the day, we will feature around 10 presentations, each consisting of 25 minutes of content followed by a 5-minute Q&A session, allowing participants to interact with the presenters and engage in meaningful dialogue.
This event is being organized as part of the HydroMetEC project, a collaborative initiative funded by the EIT RawMaterials program, and follows the success of our three-day online introductory course in hydrometallurgy, delivered over the past five years. With the support of our partners, the course has helped many gains foundational knowledge in hydrometallurgy. As we prepare to continue these educational efforts, we also aim to foster broader discussions on cutting-edge innovations and advancements in the field through this seminar.

We welcome abstracts that cover a range of topics in hydrometallurgy, including but not limited to:
- Hydrometallurgical Processing of Primary Raw Materials
Exploring the latest processes for extracting and refining metals from ores. - Valorization of Industrial Waste and Tailings for Metals Recovery
Innovative methods to recover valuable metals from industrial by-products and mining waste. - Innovations in Hydrometallurgy
Novel techniques, technologies, and research shaping the future of hydrometallurgical processes.
