  • TEMPEST will present its main results and achievements at its Final Event, marking the conclusion of its research and innovation activities.
  • The hybrid event will bring together consortium partners and stakeholders, led by project coordinator Jeremy Warren, to showcase outcomes and discuss the project’s impact.

Bordeaux, France – 14 April 2026. – TEMPEST, an EU-funded research and innovation project, will host its Final Event on Friday, 24 April 2026, from 09:30 to 13:00 CET at the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Brussels, in a hybrid format enabling both in-person and online participation.

The TEMPEST project is developing a new generation of safe-by-design, recyclable, high-performance, and lightweight batteries for a wide range of transport applications. The project will validate its technologies through three demonstrator battery types: compact, large-scale, and stationary.

The Final Event will present the project’s key outcomes and achievements, highlighting TEMPEST’s contribution to advancing sustainable battery technologies and supporting Europe’s transition towards cleaner mobility.

The event will open with remarks from the project coordinator, Jeremy Warren (Applus+ Rescoll), who will present the project vision and objectives. Technical presentations from consortium partners will follow, covering key areas such as manufacturing approaches and results, as well as recycling and reuse strategies.

A dedicated session will focus on the EU-INGENIOuS clustering initiative, bringing together TEMPEST and related projects to discuss advances in safe-by-design, sustainable battery solutions and their relevance for European research and industry. The programme will conclude with a panel discussion and closing remarks, followed by a networking lunch, offering participants the opportunity to engage with stakeholders, policymakers, and project partners.
