On 1 July 2026, from 11:30 to 13:30 CEST,REFEST and HY2FISH will host a joint online meeting bringing together partners and stakeholders interested in the future of sustainable fisheries and maritime transport.
The event will provide an opportunity to discover the latest developments from both projects and engage in a discussion on the challenges and opportunities related to the decarbonisation of fishing fleets. Participants will explore how innovative vessel technologies and alternative energy solutions can contribute to reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, supporting the transition towards more sustainable and climate-neutral fisheries.
The meeting will also foster dialogue on the role of research and innovation in helping the sector achieve ambitious European climate targets while maintaining competitiveness and operational efficiency.
