On 22 October 2025, the REVERTER project will host an inspiring online event titled “Beyond Renovation: How REVERTER’s Voice Is Changing Lives.” Funded by the EU LIFE Programme, REVERTER is driving action across Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia and Portugal to combat energy poverty and promote energy-efficient home renovation. This webinar will bring the project’s communication story to life—how the team has successfully connected with communities, raised awareness, and empowered vulnerable households to take action.
Session 1: Beyond the buzz – Digital One-Stop-Shops driving meaningful communication
The first session, led by Linda Kimeisa, Communication Manager of the REVERTER project and WIT Berry (Latvia), will explore the strategy behind REVERTER’s digital communication tools. Linda will share how the team designed and operated the Digital One-Stop-Shops (DOSS)—user-friendly online platforms that became trusted information hubs for citizens seeking guidance on home renovation and energy efficiency.
These platforms were created with simplicity, trust, and long-term impact in mind, offering clear and practical information accessible to all. Linda will also discuss how sustainability and adaptability were integrated into the design to ensure that REVERTER’s tools continue to support both partners and communities well beyond the project’s lifetime.
Session 2: On the Ground and Online – From First Hello to Lasting Change
In the second session, Maria M. Font Pernil, Project Manager and architect at Fundació Europace (Spain), will take participants from the digital space to the community level. She will highlight the work of REVERTER Ambassadors and One-Stop-Shop personnel, who have been the project’s heart on the ground—meeting families, listening to their concerns, and offering personalised advice.
Maria will illustrate how these ambassadors acted as trusted local messengers, while One-Stop-Shop teams provided ongoing online and face-to-face support. Combined efforts build bridges between people and resources, transforming awareness into real, tangible improvements in living conditions.
More than communication: A human approach
REVERTER’s approach to communication goes beyond information-sharing—it builds empowerment. By combining digital innovation with human connection, the project demonstrates how thoughtful communication can create lasting social impact. It offers an inspiring example for other EU-funded initiatives aiming to engage citizens, strengthen local participation, and make sustainability accessible to all.
