On 29 April 2024 at 14:30 CEST, the FoodCoP project invites stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and rural innovators to its third public webinar: “Fueling Rural Innovation”. This one-hour session will spotlight how rural areas across Europe are redefining innovation through the Startup Village model and the circular #bioeconomy.
Organised online, the webinar will bring together leading voices to present inspiring examples and practical tools that support the revitalisation of rural regions.
Agenda Highlights:
- Welcome and introduction by Climate-KIC – Discover the mission and goals of the #FoodCoP project and how it supports the transformation of rural food systems.
- An envisioning Startup Village: The Subequana Valley – Prof. Lelio Iapadre (University of L’Aquila) introduces a potential rural innovation hub in central Italy.
- What Is a Startup Village? – Mariana Salvado (Municipality of Fundão) presents the concept through the lens of Fundão’s transformation and FoodCoP’s strategic approach.
- Why Rural Matters: The Power of Startups and Bioeconomy – Eli Dhapi (AB Corporation) presents the DRIVE project, and explores the social, cultural, and economic impacts of rural innovation.
- Introducing the FoodCoP Platform – Marco de la Feld (ENCO) showcases a new digital hub offering tools and opportunities to boost rural entrepreneurship.
- Q&A session – Participants are invited to engage directly with speakers and project partners.
