All space actors consider electric propulsion a critical technology for the next generations of commercial and scientific satellites. This increasing interest is associated with massive mass savings, lower costs, improved efficiency, lower pollution and longer mission time.
Horizon 2020 project’s GIESEPP MP and Horizon Europe project’s DEEP PPU consortia organise a joint webinar to provide behind-the-scenes information on project advancements related to electric space propulsion in the context of these projects.
This webinar is aimed at students, young professionals, and experienced professionals interested in electric space propulsion.
Professionals representing the two projects will give concise and engaging presentations on design flow for electronic space equipment, multi-purpose European electrical thruster units, thruster tests and other related topics.
The webinar will take place on 24.05.2023 at 16:00 on Webex. Registration is needed. You can find more information about the webinar as well as the link to the registration form: https://deepppu.eu/webinar/
The webinar is organised by two EU funded projects
Horizon 2020 project GIESEPP MP that aims to foster Europe’s competitiveness in the global satellite market, by proposing the first European Plug and Play Gridded Ion Engine Standardised Electric Propulsion Platform (GIESEPP), operating ArianeGroup ion engines with the option of alternative thrusters.
