On 22 October, CODECS is organising a webinar on “Reducing Women’s Inequalities in EU Agricultural Areas: The Role of Digitalisation”.
Despite ongoing EU efforts through policies like the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), rural women continue to face significant challenges in agriculture. This CODECS webinar will explore how digital tools, and innovative solutions can help address these gender inequalities and promote socio-economic development in rural areas.
This event will bring together experts and rural stakeholders to examine how digitalisation can reduce gender inequalities and boost socio-economic development in rural areas. The event will feature expert presentations from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and present case studies from women-led innovations in agriculture. We will also present the impacts of digitalisation on gender equality.
Date and time: 22 October from 10:00 to 12:00 CET, online
The event will be interactive, fostering discussions and peer-to-peer learning. It is a unique opportunity to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the public conversation able to shape most relevant policies that impact the lives of people in rural areas.
This webinar is organised within the framework of the CODECS Knowledge Accelerator, a network designed to enhance knowledge creation through various engaging activities.
