Abstract Submissions Open for the Data4Food2030 x TITAN Conference

On 17–18 June 2026, Data4Food2030 and TITAN projects will transform the Sparks venue in the heart of Brussels into a European hub for agrifood innovation, uniting research, technology, and policy to advance sustainable supply chains and a fair data economy.

The “Innovations to Build Sustainable Supply Chains in a Fair Data Economy for a Better Food System” event marks the final milestone of two Horizon Europe projects and the beginning of new cross-sector partnerships designed to accelerate real-world impact across Europe’s food systems.

With over 90 presentation slots, 50+ posters, an SME Marketplace, innovation pitches, awards for young scientists and SMEs, and a dedicated networking arena, the conference is set to convene researchers, innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, startups, and investors at a decisive moment for Europe’s digital and sustainable transition.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – SUBMIT BY 3 MARCH 2026

Researchers, practitioners, innovators, and stakeholders working at the intersection of food systems, digitalisation, sustainability, and the data economy are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

This is more than a scientific conference. It is a strategic platform where breakthrough research meets real-world application. Participants will have the opportunity to present cutting-edge findings, demonstrate applied innovations, and engage directly with investors and policymakers shaping Europe’s food and digital agendas.

Four Thematic Tracks Driving Europe’s Food Transformation

Participants will be able to present their research or innovation in one of our four thematic tracks shaping the future of resilient, transparent, and fair food systems:

  • Enhancing Food Safety and Reducing Food Fraud

Food safety and authenticity remain foundational to consumer trust and market resilience. This track welcomes contributions on:

  • Digital and technology-enabled food safety management systems
  • AI, machine learning, blockchain, and big data for fraud prevention
  • Smart sensors and traceability technologies
  • Allergen detection and risk assessment tools
  • Microbial monitoring and control innovations
  • Vulnerability assessment and resilience strategies
  • Novel detection technologies for hazards and fraud

If you are developing or researching solutions that strengthen transparency and prevent food fraud, this is your platform.

  • Driving Informed Decisions for Consumers

Consumers are no longer passive recipients; they are active decision-makers in sustainable food systems. This track focuses on:

  • Front-of-pack labelling (FOPL) for health and sustainability
  • Data-sharing solutions via apps, QR codes, blockchain
  • Youth-focused digital tools guiding informed choices
  • Interoperable data spaces connecting consumers to value chains
  • Co-creation models for an inclusive food data economy
  • Educational programmes for adults, schools, and families

From personalised nutrition pathways to transparent local value chains, this track explores how trusted data empowers healthier, fairer choices.

  • Building Sustainable Supply Chains and Traceability

Resilient supply chains are the backbone of Europe’s food sovereignty and climate ambition. We invite contributions on:

  • Circular economy models in food value chains
  • Food loss and waste reduction technologies
  • Precision farming for climate resilience and carbon sequestration
  • Digital twins, AI, sensors, and blockchain in supply chain management
  • ESG-driven traceability and first-mile transparency
  • Innovative seafood traceability systems
  • Strategies to prevent forced and child labour

This track bridges technological innovation with environmental and social responsibility.

  • Developing the Data Economy through Data Spaces

At the heart of Europe’s transformation lies the Data Economy for Food Systems, enabling secure, interoperable, and fair data sharing. This track explores:

  • Federated data spaces and interoperable architectures
  • AI and machine learning in data space environments
  • IoT-enabled real-time data exchange
  • SME and farmer adoption of digital tools
  • Privacy-preserving technologies and fair data-sharing models
  • Organisational, ethical, legal, economic, and societal dimensions

If you are advancing Common European Agricultural Data Spaces, designing governance frameworks, or building scalable architectures, this is where science meets deployment.

Beyond Abstracts: A Platform for Impact

In addition to abstract submissions, SMEs and innovative projects can apply for a booth at the SME Marketplace, tech providers can submit applications for innovation pitches, and young scientists and SMEs can compete for dedicated awards. This unique ecosystem brings together science, industry, investment, and policy in one integrated arena, creating the conditions to move from research results to real-world implementation.

The Data4Food2030 and TITAN final conference provides the strategic arena where these demands converge, transforming dialogue into deployable solutions.
