Brussels, 13–15 October 2025 – The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) returns this autumn as the European Union’s largest annual event dedicated to Cohesion Policy. Co-organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), this flagship gathering is set to welcome thousands of participants from across Europe.
Since its inception in 2003, when Brussels-based regional offices first opened their doors to policy experts and practitioners, #EURegionsWeek has grown into a key communication and networking platform for addressing regional and urban challenges. Each year, the event offers a unique thematic focus and visual identity, aligned with the EU’s political priorities, fostering dialogue, cooperation and knowledge exchange.

What to Expect in 2025
The three-day programme combines high-level discussions, interactive workshops and innovative networking opportunities. Sessions will be held in person in Brussels, with a limited number livestreamed to a broader European audience. Online participants will also be able to engage in real time via interactive tools such as Slido or Mentimeter.
Designed and implemented by the European Commission, the European Committee of the Regions, and selected partner organisations, the programme will feature both the official EU sessions and the Close to Yousessions hosted by regions, cities and organisations from across Europe.
Participation and Registration
Participation in #EURegionsWeek is free of charge and open to everyone.
- The official programme will be published online in early July 2025.
- Registration will open at the same time via the event website, with a “Register” button available in each session description.
- Registrations will close on 30 September 2025.
The primary event language is English. Interpretation will be available in a limited number of sessions.
